I would like to welcome you to our school. This is not a
profession for everyone and it is not easy money as some would have
you believe. If you have a true love of animals, are
creative and artistic, and do not mind smelling like an animal at the
end of the day, then I believe that this is a field for you. If you love animals and are a good groomer with
compassion and empathy, you will have a wonderful and rewarding career.
This is who I Am and this is what I want for
you. One of the most important things in my life is to be able to
educate others to become kind and compassionate groomers. |
I started my career with animals in 1975 when I
purchased my first German Shepherd dog. I have shown my dogs
in both the obedience and conformation ring. I graduated from the
New York School of Dog Grooming in 1978 as a Certified Master
Groomer. At this time I became a Lifetime Member of the National Dog
Groomers Association. In 1995 I became a Certified Veterinarian
Technician. I also work with injured wildlife to rehabilitate them.
I opened Annie's Groomin Tails,Inc. with my husband Jeffrey in 2004
and have recently added Annie's School of Grooming as a division of
the Corporation.
Presently I have a Champion black male toy
poodle, a silver female toy Poodle, a disabled white toy Poodle who
I rescued, a black Lab rescue, a German Shepherd, a Chow Chow and a
mix Collie. I own five cats, all of which are rescues, and four horses,
three of which are rescues.
